- Folks,
-
- ViewTek reports `Iffparse error -8' when given certain files
- generated by dump2i24 (a utility included with POVray version 2.2,
- the freeware ray tracer). This occurs on my a3000 and a4000, both
- running os3.1, and other image viewers (such as PPShow) report a
- `mangled IFF file'. Not all files produced by dump2i24 have this
- problem--it seems sporadic. All of my files are 640x400 iff24.
-
- 1. Does anyone know of a way to fix dump2i24?
-
- 2. Is there a utility (or procedure) to diagnose and fix the faulty
- iff24 chunk? I can write or modify C code if needed.
-
- Thanks,
- John
